IBID is Founded

Clarence V. Mott and a partner operated an electrical contracting business called Inter-City Electric (I.C.E.). When the partners parted ways in 1969, Clarence renamed the company to IBID County Electric, Inc. This allowed the continuation of the I.C.E. initials. The name IBID is an abbreviation of the Latin word "ibidem," meaning "in the same place."

1990-2010

IBID heavily invests in training programs and seminars to help meet the changing demands of the industry.

2010-2020

Expansion continues to meet the growing needs of customers with fiber optics, machine automation, computer programming, networking and mechanical services.

2022

IBID is acquired by new leadership

2024

The company changes its name to IBID Electric Company, Inc.
